Beth Kukucka Photography!

Designer Weddings Photography is now BETH KUKUCKA PHOTOGRAPHY! Please feel free to peruse my new website, as many of my favorite images are from your own weddings and events!

As you have been notified in a recent email, I will be relocating my business to my hometown of Pittsburgh in December of this year. This was a hard decision for me to make, especially considering the fact that I've grown to love New England since moving here from Los Angeles in 2004. My decision to relocate to Pittsburgh, after giving it much thought for over a year now, is due to the fact that I feel the need to be closer to my aging parents. I'm blessed to still have them around, and though I visit as often as I can, it feels important to me to be closer and more accessible to them at this time in their lives.

You have all reminded me, by giving me the honor of witnessing and preserving your own family gatherings and celebrations, that family is irreplaceable. I've been away from my own family for a long time now, and my heart is telling me that some decisions are simply meant to be made by the heart. At this particular time in my life, this is one of those decisions.

I have loved my time here on the East coast, and I'll miss the beautiful New England countryside, seaside towns and extraordinary venues. I will especially miss Newburyport, where I've had the pleasure of living for the past four years. And I do plan on returning to this area to live in the future, as I can't imagine not coming back to such a beautiful part of the country. In many ways, much of my heart will remain here while I'm away.

I want to thank all of my clients here, who have given me the honor and privilege of being witness to all the celebration, happiness and emotion that can be found in a day as profound as a wedding day. It is a privilege I never take lightly, and I hope you will all remember the best moments of your wedding day when you look at your photographs. There is something about each one of your weddings that stands out in my memory, and I love to imagine the future generations of your own families looking over the images that were you, witnessed by me and my camera, on a tender and sacred day in your lives.

Please know that I will be accessible, by phone and by email, at any time. I will also be booking weddings here on occassion - especially same sex weddings, as they are not yet legal in Pennsylvania. It has especially been an honor for me to preserve a part of history here in Massachussetts, with these first years of legalized gay marriage in such a progressive state. I also want you to know that any outstanding album orders that have not yet been placed by you will be fulfilled according to our original contract. For those of you who have not yet honored the six month request for pre-paid album orders, your orders will be fulfilled on a first come first served basis.

And to my clients yet to be, in my new (and old) hometown of Pittsburgh, I very much look forward to taking great care of you! I can hardly wait to meet you, to hear about your events and celebrations, and to witness these moments of your lives with my heart, as well as my camera.

I am excited in advance for the images of your life yet to be taken by me, and grateful in advance for that honor.

All the Best,

Beth

Alicia and Rick's Wedding

Alicia and Rick were married in Derry, NH on October 25th. This was a really fun couple with a great attitude about everything, and I could totally see what drew them to each other. Alicia found any occassion to laugh, and Rick had a fun sense of the rediculous, especially when it came to his hockey buddies!

I almost forgive them for not taking me with them on their honeymoon, but I think I understand why they didn't. Hope they had a great time, and that they enjoy seeing just a few favorites from an evening of favorites!

Margaux and Aviva's Wedding

Margaux and Aviva were married on October 12th at the Magna Farms in Danvers - one of my very favorite venues! I liked Margaux and Aviva the first time I saw them, before any words were even spoken. Margaux has a kind and attentive energy about her, and Aviva has the sort of genuine compassion and care that really shows in her eyes, so I already knew that they made an amazing couple, but especially so on their wedding day.

I commented on how considerate and loving they were toward each other in the thick of the wedding day chaos! I know from my own wedding that it takes a special kind of love to remain calm and supportive when everything around you feels crazy. And they were. Calm, supportive, kind, and wonderfully loving. Icing on the cake was the fact that they have two adorable children that I could easily have photographed for days!

Lisa and Kate's Wedding

Lisa and Kate were married on October 11th at the incredible Essex Conference Center in Essex, MA. What a fantastic wedding this was! As you can see from this handful of excerpts, Lisa and Kate were a really fun couple, easy to laugh, easy to show affection for each other. It was sweet to see how often they would reach for each other, or how tenderly one would come over to the other in a middle of a conversation, just to wrap her arms around her. Couples like this make wedding photography easy. All I do is press the shutter!

Kelly and Dan's Wedding

Kelly and Dan were married on October 4th at The Barn at Gibbet Hill. The Barn is one of my very favorite venues, and it was a perfect fit for the autumn theme of Kelly and Dan's reception, which was cozy and relaxed, complete with a candy bar!

I loved the way Kelly and Dan were with Dan's two young sons! I especially appreciated the diversity of the guests that evening, from Kelly's 96 year old grandmother, to the boys, and everyone in between. It was obvious to me and my camera that this is a couple that is very loved by many.

Samantha and Tim's Wedding

Sam and Tim were married on September 27th in Portsmouth, NH. I have to say that I have a connection to all of my clients, but especially so with Sam! I originally met her when she and her Mom stopped by to look at my work and talk about the possibility of my being the photographer at Sam's wedding, and by the time they left, they felt like family. I even commented that if they didn't choose me as their photographer, I wanted to be invited as a guest!

Needless to say, I was thrilled to hear from Sam that they did choose me to photograph the wedding, and by the time the wedding day came around, I couldn't wait to see them again! What an exceptionally FUN couple! It was wonderful to see how celebrated, loved and appreciated Sam and Tim were by their guests - which wasn't at all hard to understand.
